Privacy policy

MetalVideo is a video player that keeps playback and enhancement on your Mac.

Video and other content

Videos, audio, subtitles, images, and additional models that you open are processed on your Mac for playback, enhancement, display, and capture. BridgeDevs does not collect or send their contents, filenames, or file data to its servers.

Information stored on your Mac

For convenience, MetalVideo stores settings such as playback mode, FX, volume, playback rate, and output scale on your Mac. Playback history keeps up to 50 entries, including the video path, position, duration, last-played date, and selected audio and subtitle tracks. Up to 20 recent additional-model paths are stored. If you choose a fixed capture folder, MetalVideo stores a macOS security-scoped bookmark so it can access that folder again.

Managing history and save locations

Playback-history entries can be removed individually or all at once inside the app. A capture folder is remembered only when you choose one. Videos, captures, and additional models remain in locations you select and are not copied to a BridgeDevs cloud service.

Information we do not collect or transmit automatically

MetalVideo does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, telemetry, an independent account system, or an independent cloud-sync service. It does not send video contents, playback history, settings, or additional-model information to third parties for advertising or usage analysis.

File access

MetalVideo accesses files and folders only when you explicitly select them through an open dialog, drag and drop, or a save-location choice. When you set a fixed capture location, macOS retains access only to that folder.

Website and support

For analytics on the BridgeDevs website, see the website privacy policy. Information you send to support is used to answer your request and investigate problems. Please do not send video files, unnecessary personal information, or license information unless it is needed.
